Day Trips - Wavedancer Low Isles
On Queensland's Great Barrier Reef, the Low Isles are 2 small coral cays located 13 kilometres from Port Douglas. They are situated on the western edge of the main shipping channel. The small islands are separated by a common reef, the Low Isles Reef. The larger of the two islands, Woody Island, is uninhabited except for a large bird population. The smaller of the two islands, Low Island, is a coral cay with a lighthouse that has been operating since 1878. This is where you will be spending your day.
